  • Web site never accessible

I have tried to make monthly payments via internet for three (3) months. Every time I try to logon I receive a message that the information I entered was not correct (i.e., last 4 digits of SSN and DOB) and then other times I don't receive this message but a different one that the website is down. This is within a minute or two of the previous attempt to logon. I don't pay my bills any other way than via internet so I cannot pay by check. What is wrong with Care Credit's website? This is ongoing for 3 months. More...

  • CareCredit Credit Card is unjust.

After a few years with inactivity, with no notification whatsoever (email or post) they closed my credit card account entirely. This was my longest-standing credit card with a high credit limit and my credit score plummeted -28 points. I will now have a harder time applying for another credit card to replace this one because the knock on my credit score. My husband is also upset because it will affect our ability to apply for loans for a home, car, or anything else for that matter! Terrible customer service, long wait times to speak to someone and unjust business practices. Stay away. More...

  • No services, but no reversal on charges

I went to a new dentist and was satisfied with his work so I decided to let him do some work, a crown, for me. His office staff gave me the credit app for CareCredit and I was improved. I had so many billing problems with his office staff that I cancelled my appt for the crown until they straightened out billing my son and my fees together. (His father is responsible for medical/dental) To my surprise I received a bill from CareCredit I informed them that no services were rendered. They even had a letter from the dentist that no services were rendered but that he 'anticipated'... More...

  • Sisters a fan

I just wanted to provide some counter-balance to all the negative reviews. My sister uses care credit regularly to be able to afford the vet bills for her 6 cats. She loves it; she is able to make interest free payments over a specified time period with no problems. She always makes her payment on time and hasn't really had to deal with any fees and interests. I was about to open up an account myself to pay for a surgery for my cat, but went to read some reviews after becoming confused by their terms laid out. Now I am not so sure... More...

  • DO NOT USE!!!

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. Such a scam!!! My last payment statement gave me the option to "opt out" of the interest. I called and was assured that I would NOT have to pay deferred interest if I closed the account. I did and guess what? I just received a bill for $1600.00 I called to resolve the issue and AMANDA #7276 was extremely rude and condescending on top of it all! By the looks of all the comments, I think this must somehow be illegal. More...

  • "No intrest promotional purchase" was a scam

I put my lasik surgery on a CareCredit card and was so pleased to hear they offered a 2 year, no interest way to pay off the balance. I made my first month payment, no problem. Then the next bill I got had a "change in terms and conditions" sheet in the back. The sheet casually says that CareCredit will no longer be honoring "promotional purchases", I will have to pay interest on the balance regardless of the agreement. There is a number to call and their 2 "options" are to cancel your account (assuming they send the balance to collections) or keep your account... More...

  • Minimum payment allocation

I recently paid $50 over the minimum payment amount, but rather than that money being put towards the deferred interest payment due to expire in February, it was put towards the fixed interest payment that doesn't expire for approximately five years. When I called the first time, on December 6th, a young man told me that it looked as if the payment hadn't been allocated yet, and to check back in a few days. when I checked on December 13, nothing about the allocation of the payment had changed. Also, I have a 'finance charge purchases refund' on my transaction... More...

  • Avoid Care Credit Like the Plague!

If I can prevent even one person from dealing with Care Credit with this review, then I am satisfied. Care Credit is, without exaggeration, the very worst company I've ever had to deal with. If you are ONE DAY late on a payment, a 35.00 fee is implemented. If you want to make a payment over the phone, a 15.00 fee is implemented. If you want to make an online payment, you had better have your account number. Otherwise, there is NO way to obtain this information. Their customer service reps will not provide this information for you, even after you provide all of the... More...

I have only one thing to say about Care Credit. They have very unfair practices. As a former cardholder, my account was up to date and paid off. I had a Joint Account with my mother. I had to have oral surgery to which I charged a little over $1700.00 on my Carecredit. I made payments then decided to pay the balance off in full. A month after I paid it off, just because I had not used the credit line ($5, 000) in over a month, they all of a sudden decided to close my account, for no good reason. And then they gave me some lame excuse saying all of a sudden that I no longer qualified for... More...

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. In an attempt to pay off my bill I spoke with a "Peter Douglas" that I could not understand his english clearly and he refused to give me an ID number so I hope his name is Peter, then aked 7 times to speak with a supervisor who again was difficult to understand and his name was "Kevin Smith". He came on the phone frustrated even before I spoke with him. I asked for his supervisor and he had no idea when she would be in..."Angel Jordan". • Worst credit company I ever had!

I recently had to take my 20 year old cat to the animal hospital on memorial day. The hospital tried to hit me up for $1600 for a blood transfusion for the cat among other charges. With also adding it was not wrong to put the cat down. Now I know my cat and she is a strong will cat and she can pull through anything. So when I asked if I could make payment the doctor said they don't do that and if I couldn't pay and the cat was left there she would be put down immediately. My doctor then told me about "Care Credit" she said I could use that to pay for the bill. So she... More...

I have an account with G E Money bank set up to make all payments online. I have already made two payments and when I attempted to make the 3rd their online service claimed I wasn't using the same computer and refused to let me on my account. I retyped my account name and password several times with my email painstakingly making sure I wrote it correctly. I then checked my computer's security to see if the info was reset at anytime and it still listed GE Money bank as a one of my recognized billing accounts. • Worst Credit Card - Care Credit credit card

I opened a Care Credit account a couple of years ago when my husband needed to have dental work done. The first time I used it, I paid the card off in a couple of months. I didn’t have any problems. The second time that I used the card has been a whole different ball game. One of my dogs had to have an emergency spay. I got on line and found out my Care Credit card was still active and useable. I went ahead and had both of my babies fixed. I put it all on that stupid card. One week later. I paid the balance before I received the bill. Without skipping a beat, I received the bill... More...

  • Denied Lowes Credit Card

I applied recently for a Lowe's credit card. GE ref #: K5SP78. My credit rating is good and that is not this issue. My FICA is 943. After applying on line, I received a letter from the Fraud Protection Division of GE Bank. I was ask to respond to three computer generated questions for them to be proof positive that I am truly Harold Newman. I failed on one question which was the Month/Year of your recent mortgage. • Fine print on APRs misleading at best

Was offered CareCredit at dental office as means to pay for work proposed and needed. Foolishly I accepted the offer. I have made all payments on time, but because I did not meet "promotional deadline" on parts of service, I received $800 on a recent bill in back interest being charged at 25% on remaining balance. I called, no deals available on reducing APR. Had I known about the retroactive interest at 25% I never, ever would used this service. It was probably in some fine print somewhere which was written in a language that is only derivative of English. Sigh. "Fool me... More...

I purchased a sizeable amount of furniture from a local retailer, Rooms to Go in October of 2010. The monthly payment was scheduled to be $80. I pay my bills on line, and have been doing so for many years, and with absolutley no problem. The first payment I made on line was kicked back by the company, and when I asked why they told me I entered the wrong account number. I found that hard to believe, but gave them the benefit of the doubt and made another payment on line, making sure I put in the correct information. By the way, I was charged a late fee as a result of this. The next... More...

I signed up for an "interest free promotion" with carecredit ge money bank because of a huge vet bill that was sudden. They certainly took the credit, but when I started receiving my statements, I found that they were charging me interest under "minimum interest charge purchased." Yuh?? I had $2000 credit balance with care credit and had made all my payments in a timely manner previously. I went to dentist today and suddenly the account is closed due to 12 months inactivity - though I had used it and been paying with in the past year. This card is a good option if you don't have any other credit cards. Beware the interest rate is very high after the no interest promotional period. Stay on top of every bill they send and read all fine print. We are paying dearly for this mistake. My husband went to the dentist for the first time in several years in 08. His back teeth were in bad shape. The dentist gave an estimate of $2000 after insurance. They suggested CareCredit and sent the paperwork to CareCredit and got instant approval up to $3000. We called customer service who stated we had to send a copy of the cancelled check. A copy of the cleared check was sent twice on 9/25 (See attachment). • GE Care Credit

We used Care Credit to pay for dental implants for my wife. We paid on time. My wife contracted a mutation of the H1N1 and spent 26 days in the ICU at Doctors Hospital Coral Gables. We made our payment. Due to her not being able to work as she rehabilitated we went on their 9 month lower interest payment plan which was deducted from our account for 4 months. Without any notice they stopped taking it out and Jacked the rates up to 30%. We called several times and try talking with a foreign call center. Well we are filing a complaint with the Federal Reserve and we are suing. More...

  • Attorney General Investigating GE

I've been reading the reviews of this company on the web sites tonight and I can attest that I am having the same experience. This is the worst credit company I have ever dealt with. I paid off my full balance online over 2 weeks ago and they completely ignored the payment. And the finance charges/security charges are higher than the agreed upon rate ($1.50/per $100). • Hard Times - Bad Customer Service

Today I called care credit to make a payment on my brother's account. He recently lost his job and I wanted to help him with paying off some bill. With the account information on hand I dialed 1-800-292-7508, stated my name and the reason of my call (this is my brother’s account) and was put on hold. After sometime the person on the other end (customer service) stated in a rude manner that I could not make a payment. I just spoke top "customer service" on GE money bank because m August payment of 3times the required amount did not post on my billing statement and they charged me a $25 fee for not making an August payment – the amount due was $43, I paid $150. • Errors and deceptive practices

GE Care Credit made errors that they refuse to correct, and is engaging in decpetive practises. Despite correct information on the paperwork for dental work, they issued the loan to my minor age son, who had the dental work, instead of to me, the parent. They refuse to correct the error, saying that since I am not the listed loan maker, I will not be allowed to discuss it with them. My wife first found out about CareCredit GE MoneyBank from her dermatologist after being diagnosed with skin cancer. It sounded like a good deal at the time but GE Money had some sneaky ways of tacking on large amounts of interest. For example she had to return for for additional treatments to get all of the cancer. These additional treatments were considered separate charges subject to interest if not paid off. I got my care credit card not quite a year ago for hearing aids. I sent in a cashiers check to pay my account in full on May 14, 2009. Given the time for mail they should have received payment in 4 days (May 18). The company never posted this payment till May 20, 2009. I called and requested them fax my bank so I may proceed with my remortage and they informed me they do not have fax capabilities so I requested they immediately mail me paid in full statement and here it is 8:00 p.m. May 28, 2009 and no letter. Their unconcern for customers cost me $1200. I rate this company so low my computor can't compute my rating.

FEDUP
